According to the AAMC, approximately 85 percent of MCAT examinees completed courses in biology, biochemistry, general chemistry, organic chemistry, and physics prior to taking the test in the past 3-5 years. Furthermore, roughly half of those who took the test completed medical school preparatory courses. Having said that, over a quarter of the approximately 185,000 students who took the MCAT during this period elected to retake the exam, most likely in the hopes of scoring higher the second time around. So, how difficult is the MCAT? Very difficult, but not impossible. It is absolutely feasible to do well with serious preparation and study.

1. CUNY School of Medicine

This is the first institution on our list of medical schools that don’t require MCAT. CUNY School of Medicine is located in Hamilton Heights on the City College of New York campus, which opened in the autumn of 2016.

The school is a bachelor’s medical training facility that collaborates with Saint Barnabas Health System to provide clinical medical education. Currently, the institution provides a seven-year medical curriculum (B.S./M.D.). It is important to note that, while the school does not require an MCAT score, it is a very selective institution with an acceptance rate of roughly 4%, rivaling the Ivy League. So, feel free to skip the MCAT, but do your best to ace the requisite standardized test in order to be considered for admission.

2. Drexel University College of Medicine

The Drexel University College of Medicine is the next school on our list of medical schools that don’t require the MCAT. The institution is a merger of the first women’s medical school in the United States and the country’s first homeopathic college. It is regarded to be the second most applied-to medical school in the United States, with one of the highest private medical school enrollments. The medical school is located on the Queen Lane Campus in East Falls, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

At the start of the 2017/2018 academic year, the college of medicine abandoned its systems-based curriculum in favor of the “Foundations and Frontiers” curriculum. The goal of this new curriculum is to teach physicians who are adept at navigating the increasingly complex and interdisciplinary healthcare system.

3. University of Florida College of Medicine

This is the largest of the university’s Health Science Center’s six colleges. It is a subunit of the J. Hillis Miller Health Science Centre, which has buildings in Gainesville and Jacksonville, Florida, as the University of Florida’s medical school. After completing their program, students are awarded the Doctor of Medicine (M.D.), Doctor of Medicine-Doctor of Philosophy (M.D.-Ph.D.), and Physician Assistant (P.A.) degrees.

4. The University of Rochester Medical Center

This is the fourth school on our list of Medical Schools That don’t require the MCAT. The University of Rochester Medical College (URMC), or UR Medicine as it is currently called, is one of the primary campuses of the University of Rochester. It was previously known as the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. It houses the university’s principal medical teaching, research, and patient care facilities and is located in Rochester, New York.

5. Robert Wood Johnson Medical School

Robert Wood Johnson Medical School is one of the medical schools of Rutgers University. As a result, it is also known as the Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. It has a tight relationship with Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, the medical school’s primary affiliation.

In New Jersey, the medical school has campuses in Piscataway and New Brunswick. The school was once a component of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey until July of 2013. (UMDNJ). 6. University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences

The University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences is a medical school located in Toledo, Ohio. The university has over 20 health-related programs and is recognized among the Top 100 Best Medical Schools for Research and Primary Care.

7. Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University

This is the final school on our list of Medical Schools That don’t require the MCAT. The medical school is the fourth most selective in the United States. The institution is highly regarded and is one of the top 20 medical schools in the United States. Graduates of the institution have a competitive advantage in residency programs and at premier medical institutes.

Even though the aforementioned medical schools don’t require MCAT, you must still pass any other standardized test of your choice.
