About Loughborough University Full Fee Development Africa Scholarship 2022/2023
The Loughborough University Full Fee Development Africa Scholarship 2022/2023, which is made open annually for international students, will cover the whole cost of a postgraduate taught course for one year (replacing any Departmental or Loughborough University scholarships or bursaries you may already have been awarded).
The scholarships are supported by a combination of generous outside sources and University finances. The University will only offer a limited number of scholarships, and the requirements are extremely stringent. Students will be expected to cover their travel and living expenses through other means. The scholarship application must contain proof of maintenance funding.
The scholarship application process is free-for-all. Students may apply for the scholarship only after they have been offered a spot. Students who have a conditional or unconditional offer of a seat on a postgraduate taught degree can apply for the scholarship. The application date for 2022/23 is April 30, 2022.
Applications will be shortlisted initially, and the final decision on the prizes will be made by a selection panel comprising senior University officials. When evaluating applications, the selection panel will consider the following eligibility criteria:
- Currently residing (permanently residing) in Africa
- Evidence of outstanding academic achievement (normally a 1st Class Honours Degree)
- Commitment to return to their own nation on the date specified.

- A clear understanding of the costs of coming to the UK to study and
- live indication of high ambition and initiative in obtaining cash to cover the remaining expenditures

After the deadline, applications will be ignored. When your application is received, a confirmation email will be issued to you.

Any reward issued to an applicant who has a conditional offer must be fulfilled in full. You’ll also have to show proof of your ability to work.
